Dumb Ways to Die, Smart Ways to Persuade

Public education videos have an uphill battle of persuading their ‘customers’. The average viewer, bombarded by media daily, is probably desensitized to most predictable shock tactics used by anti-smoking or gambling ads etc. Graphic assault, in the age of photoshop  , is no longer that hard-hitting to most.

So what sets ‘Dumb Ways to Die’, a video by Metro Trains Melbourne, apart? How does it get its message of safety across in unique way?
